Amazing service. Everyone was so nice and helpful. I Let them know I needed a one day turn around if possible and they were able to accommodate me. Complimentary coffee and pet friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Cannot recommend this place enough. I'm on a road trip from Ontario, Canada and was having some RV trouble while going through Bend. Not only did they help me fix up the RV but they let me sleep in it in the parking lot every night, offered me use of the lobby for AC, wifi, coffee, and snacks. They also offered to drive me into town of I needed to get lunch or do laundry. The most accommodating and friendly mechanics I've ever dealt with. And of course they really know what they are doing.

The guys and girls at Specialty Automotive could not have been more helpful. They went above and beyond in helping out an Englishman and Ausie who had issues with the tow hitch on their truck. Instant diagnosis and solution. Highly recommended.

Truly an incredible experience.  I was camping in the area and the check engine light came on in my Jeep Grand Cherokee.  I called and asked if I could be seen first thing (on a Monday morning), and Chris found an appointment for me.  He did everything he could to get the car repaired that week as I had to leave to come home for work on Friday.Then an amazing thing happened - he subtly recommended I NOT fix the car as the $5500 price tag didn't make sense for a Jeep as old as mine. He was honest to the point of loosing a $5K repair job because it was the right thing for me!  When I took his advice and decided to trade the car on a new one, he even spent some time with me talking about the pros and cons of various brands and models. I didn't think mechanics and/or shops like this existed anymore, but Speciality Auto does.  I can't say enough about how professional and ethical they are, and if I'm ever in the Bend area and need work again, they would be my hands-down choice.

I have been using Specialty automotive for the past 4 years. They are excellent. Christian seems to know everything about every vehicle on the road. Fast honest service. excellent value for the dollar. I bring them my diesel truck, my SUV, minivan. Great work and they honor the warranty on the parts. You will have a great repair and good experience at this shop.

It's Mid-day Friday (of course) and im supposed to be traveling. On comes the check engine light. I call Specialty because they are close to where I am. "Come on down" sez the pleasant human. Within 5 minutes and after he's thrown a diagnostic tool on the car Im told that I need - wait for it - a new _gas cap_which I can get any parts shop. He then would not take any of my money. They don't know it yet but Specialty Aotomotive are my new Bend OR mechanics. 6 stars.

They remind me of the shop I grew up with in a little town with a population of 4k, I never think about taking my Jeep elsewhere. I love working on my 27yr old Jeep but I get stumped sometimes and I have never had to take it back for anything worked on by them. Definitely worth the peace of mind.

We heard a grinding noise under the hood of our car as we pulled not town. It was too late to take it to a shop even if we had known where to go. The next morning I looked on YELP and found this place. It had several good reviews. When I called at 0800hrs Christian answered the phone. He told me they could check it out and diagnose the problem fro me but it would probably be the next day before they could get it fixed. I took the car right over.

About 1300hrs Christian called me to let me know the A/C compressor was falling apart. He promised me they could get it replaced by "closing time tomorrow ". Our car was ready before lunch the next day. New A/C works great @ a reasonable price and in just 1 day. Great service. Great value. Bend Or is blessed to have this shop in their neighborhood.

They always take the time to address all my concerns and make sure my car is in top shape for all the driving I do. My family was in a pinch. We had plans to travel to Redwoods the next morning when my astute father in law noticed the severely damaged trailer hitch connection. We had used Specialty Automotive before and were pleased so i called hoping they could fit us in. It was Friday afternoon and were very honest and said "no promises" about fixing it before 5. Well the did and at a very reasonable price. We had a wonderful trip. Great honest and friendly service. Couldn't be happier

We have a Sprinter van that we live in and had it repaired for few reasons in Denver... lo and behold, more problems were had. Mel and Dusty took extremely good care of us. I have never seen a shop so accommodating- they offered to drive us around town... basically took us in as their children. They made sure we were able to sleep in our van during the nights it was being repaired. Dusty worked many many many hours on our van. They even went the extra mile and talked with our previous shop to ensure there would be no missing pieces and to understand what exactly happened. We are forever grateful for Mel and Dusty, and Christian who communicated with us so effectively. I can only say good things about the 24-year-old experienced shop.

Not only were they the best priced of the several places I looked at, but their service is unfoulable. Before now, I have never had a repair shop offer to pick me up when my car was ready to go home. Dusty worked on my Toyota Tacoma, made sure everything was in good shape before he sent me home with it, found a problem that the last repair shop had failed to find despite my specific explanation of the problem. Overall-these guys are honest, cheery, and their prices beat anyone else I have worked with or quoted. I will not take my truck anywhere else in the future.

Go to this shop. This family owned business really cares about your concerns. I've used them four times since I bought my truck. They've been upfront and honest regarding issues and pricing. One project required some out of the box problem solving and it was completed well and at a fair price.

Customer service is amazing. Unlike the other review of the person above- who I doubt knows anything about car repair and sometimes things happen make it cost a lot more- I know car repair. These guys( and gals) are professional, amazing customer service, and know their stuff. Cory on the electric side is one of the castes turn around a I've seen EVER. Have him my alternator out of my 91 BMW e30 and had it back SAME DAY! It blew my mind AND SAVED me over 159 dollars compared to buying a rebuilt (which that's exactly why he did was rebuild it) that's over 300 not including a core charge for the same bosh that was on my car. If you need something done or advice on a fix you're doing yourself- give these guys a call.

I have to say after having my Range Rover taken somewhere else and having major issues with it, I am so grateful I took it here. Not only did Dusty spend a lot of time on it to find out the problem that no one else could, he really took care of the situation making things so much better than what I went through with someone else. Ok, I have to say his wife Mel is absolutely the best ever. She was so sweet on the phone and she knows so much about cars. It was nice to have someone actually explain the situation so that I could understand it. I felt like she really cared about making sure things were right ! Along with her husband, what a team they make. I couldn't be happier with the service they provided and highly recommend them.

We broke down in Bend and needed a new alternator. Chris and the owner Mel were the best caring people. Not to exclude her husband and dog Max. They ordered the part and the next day we were done. If they could have gotten the part on the day we arrived they would have been able to fix it that day and we would have been on our way sooner. They recommended motels and drove us there and picked us up. They all have a heart of gold. We will never forget you all. So if you ever breakdown in Bend, OR make sure to look them up for quality service and great friendship.. we highly recommend this shop.
